We Can Create a Custom Learning Path For Your Student!
Every person learns differently, and every learner deserves to grow according to his or her learning style. We begin your child’s path with a “Learning Style” assessment. We then provide suggestions and tools to help your student approach learning with confidence.
Weekly Gathering Sessions:
Similar to BYU Pathways, we also hold a high school virtual online gathering session once a week, where students participate in activities, build friendships, and receive support related to their courses. During these gatherings, students engage with peers and mentors to enhance both their academic and social skills.
Scope and Purpose:
The main focus of these meetings is to help students become more efficient learners by discovering and utilizing their dominant learning styles—whether they are visual, auditory, tactile, or emotional learners. By understanding how they learn best, students can improve how they gather, research, and process information, making their study time more effective and their learning more enjoyable.
Other Key Benefits:
- Personal Growth: Through peer and mentor interactions, students will better understand how they learn and retain information, which will foster independence in their education.
- Building Connections: These virtual sessions offer a sense of community, helping students form meaningful friendships and support systems, which are crucial in an online learning environment.
- Long-Term Impact: The experience of tailoring learning methods to their strengths and participating in regular, structured group activities will turn these students into life-long learners who can adapt to different educational and professional challenges throughout their lives.
This structure helps transform the learning process into an efficient, enjoyable, and dynamic journey.
Whether your student is struggling in mainstream high school and has lost interest in learning, or is interested in an accelerated road to graduation and college – we can help create a customized path.
We don’t hold students to semesters. Your student has one year to complete a course. An accelerated student can complete a course in as little as one month – meeting graduation goals more quickly.
We have expanded our course offerings beyond our own borders. We offer credit for courses completed successfully through Hillsdale College. These credits can meet many of our high school requirements and electives, but are not transferable outside the Academy. Cost is $50 per .5 credit.
Credit By Proficiency: If your student has a skill outside of the classroom, such as in music, art, or athletics, we will review your student’s level and and grant credit accordingly. Cost is $50 per .5 credit.
ASAP: Academic Support & Advisory Program: This program provides four daily one hour sessions of course help per week, for students in grades 1-12. A qualified instructor/mentor is available to assist your child with questions and answers about his/her courses. The cost is $110 per month, for 8 months. This program is an add-on to regular tuition.
We are approved through the UTAH and ARIZONA ESA scholarship programs.
